Blog #52 - Chosen

You were chosen to be here.

Last night, I watched a young woman on tiktok claim that Christians have never been persecuted and are privileged in society so I wanted to create write and check in on my fellow Christians.

The fact is, Christians are the most persecuted group in human history but we're not surprised about it. In a world that's wrapped up in spiritual warfare, it's never a surprise when God's chosen people are under attack. The difference is, we're not afraid.

It is normal, however, to get discouraged sometimes, to get run down by life or to doubt your salvation so here's some encouragement...

It's not very often we, in the future are directly addressed in the Bible but Christ speaks of us directly in John 20:29. He says

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesus is saying to Thomas, "you believe because you see me and the holes in my hands but there are people, who will believe in me with their whole heart without seeing a thing and those people will be eternally blessed."

Jesus spoke of us to His deciples as an example of true faith. That's not to say we're better or even equal to the deciples because our faith comes from the power of the Holy Spirit within us but it shows our place in God's kingdom.

If you're having a hard time as a Christian, remember, God chose you. He selected you to be a representative for Him at the end of our world! He created you to live for Him and then to join Him in heaven where He has a spot already made for you there!

Your trials here on earth may be many, they may seem endless, but your rewards are far greater than anything you can imagine and you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You were chosen to be here, in this place at this historic moment in time because no one can live His plan for you, but you.
