The reason people want less and less judgement is because people are sinning more and more.

There are many things that I am very angry about these days. Some of that anger is wrong but some is not. It is absolutely vital that while the world becomes darker, we as Christians understand the difference between righteous anger and unrighteous anger. A big reason we have such a difficult time understanding these things is because of the misuse of Matthew 7.

'Judge not, lest ye be judged'

This verse has been misunderstood by Christians for a very long time and weaponized against us by non Christians even more. Non Christians genuinely believe that we as Christians are never supposed to judge anyone, ever.

This is the problem with taking individual verses out of context. This verse is talking about self-righteous, hypocritical judgement. In verse three it goes on to say...

'And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?'

The point is that you should not be casting judgement about things that you, yourself have not righted in your own life.

As Christians we are absolutely called to judge those around us. Not to punish but to discern and to understand, so that we can help guide others to Christ and a better way of living, not by our standards but by God's.

The idea of "non-judgement" is a real issue in recent times. People fight about it, protest about it, and even influence laws around it.

The reason people want less and less judgement is because people are sinning more and more. They feel guilt. Most non Christians don't understand or even acknowledge some of that guilt because they don't understand it. Infact many groups like the LGBTQ, feminists, or Muslims are boastful and proud of the things they naturally feel guilty about. It may not even register as guilt anymore because of the depth of their sin but it's there.

The reason they feel guilty (or should at least) is because they are created in God's image. Every person to ever exist was born with a Godly purpose. For those who choose to live in sin, they are fighting against their true nature. When that happens everything goes wrong. Perhaps not here on earth for a time, but as I have said before, this 80 years we spend here on earth is not "life".

For us Christians, we must continue to judge the people around us to keep us safe, to understand where dangers lie, and to help others where they may have a difficult time.

It is time for the Christians in the west to stand up, be strong and confident and tell the world around us that we see what is happening and we will fight against the evils taking over our country. We will judge everyone around us and act accordingly because when the time comes for our ultimate judgement, we want everyone to hear "Well done, thou good and faithful servant"!

About Me

Music is my life, but in order to have something worth writing about, it could be argued that you must first live a big life.

I'd like to think I've lived the best I could in my forty two years. I'd also like to believe I've absorbed a little wisdom along the way. On the other hand, I could be completely wrong.

Either way I thought I would write down some ideas and maybe they'd find an eye or two and spark some conversation.

The topics are not based only on music but have had influence on my songwriting to one degree or another.

I hope you enjoy

Sincerely

Justin
