Blog #26 - The Spiritual War

We Christians already know how this spiritual war ends. If you don't... you should ask sometime.

The reason Christians are so interested in global events right now is because the Bible has given a timeline for events that will lead to the end of this world and the return of Christ.

Isreal is the center of so many things happening in the world and if you're a Christian who understands what's happening, you know that this war is spiritual. Spiritual warfare is something that has been going on since the fall of man and will continue until the end but it's presence is being felt by everyone. Even non Christians can feel that there has been a shift in our world and that things have become much darker. This is because Satan realizes his days are running out.

Everyone knows the name 'Hamas' but most don't know where the word comes from. Genesis 6:11 says "Now the earth was filled with violence." but the original Hebrew word for violence is 'hamas'. It is also used as a term for a demonic spirit. In our day we have a terrorist group who call themselves by that name but the evil spirit of hamas is also present in the West. We have endless protests calling for the death of Isreal and essentially the victory of evil.

As you read further in the book of Genesis, you learn that God spares Noah and his family and kills everyone who has the spirit of Hamas.

This is why it is so devastating to us Christians to watch people in our own towns marching in support of evil. It's obvious that they don't understand what's really going on but the spirit of hate within them has closed them off to hearing the truth.

Spiritual warfare is something constantly going on around us. Not just on a global level but within our own lives. There are spirits around us at all times. Some trying to harm us and some protecting us from evil. Here in the Western world, it's difficult for us to imagine that because we've traded in spirituality for technology and traded belief for what we can see with our own limited eyes. In many ways, we've lost the connection with our soul and the God who gave it to us.

I recently saw an interview with a former satanist turned Christian and he spoke about casting spells on children. He claimed that he was allowed to see the spiritual realm while performing incantations against kids but that any child who's parents prayed for them, had angels standing on all four sides of them and could not be touched by their curses. I don't know if the story is true but I do know that prayer protects from demonic spirits. Infact just speaking the name of Jesus will stop demonic attack. In many cases of alien abduction claims, several people said it stopped immediately upon speaking the name of Christ... but that's a whole other topic.

If you are spending a lot of time wondering how the world got so dark and evil in the last few years, I can tell you, the answer is in the Bible. If you wonder how people can be convinced to side with terrorist organizations, or homosexuals with groups that would kill them, or how seemingly intelligent people can believe that men can give birth... the answer is spiritual warfare. They are being persuaded by demonic forces. It doesn't mean they are evil people, it just means they need prayer, love and understanding.
